COVID-19 SOP Update – Fully Vaccinated

The COVID-19 Positive and Potential On-Duty Exposure Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) provides guidance to management when an associate has tested positive for COVID-19 and potentially exposed the workforce. The COVID-19 SOP has been updated based on guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) regarding quarantine for individuals that have been fully vaccinated. The updated guidance can be found on page 3 of the COVID-19 SOP.

Fully Vaccinated

  1. Associates are considered fully vaccinated two weeks after their second dose in a 2-dose series, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or two weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine.
  2. Fully vaccinated associates with no COVID-like symptoms do not need to quarantine or be tested following an exposure to someone with suspected or confirmed COVID-19.
  3. Fully vaccinated associates who do not quarantine should still monitor for symptoms of COVID-19 for 14 days following a suspected or confirmed COVID-19 exposure. If they experience any COVID-like symptoms, they should isolate themselves from others, contact a medical authority for guidance/direction and notify their supervisor as soon as possible The guidance and direction provided by the medical authority will determine if/when the associate may return to a work status.
  4. If associates volunteer they have been fully vaccinated, the contact trace team must confirm the vaccination status by reviewing the associate’s COVID-19 vaccination card. Copies of the vaccination should not be made or filed.
  5. Associates will continue to adhere to public health measures, such as physical distancing to the greatest extent possible.

This SOP is available on the COVID-19 Toolkit along with additional COVID-19 related resources.

Note: Host nation guidance is applicable to the LN workforce.
